The First Casey Reunion took place on
Labor Day 1976. The first reunion was held at Leo and Dot Casey's home in Stewartsville, NJ. The reunion was started at the request of Nana Casey prior to her passing
This is the first edition of many that will take place over the next several months. I ask any of you with information about the family or the reunion to please pass it on so I can add it here for the rest of the family to enjoy.

Please also feel free to forward me any reunion pictures that you may have from past years. If you happen to know the year include that in the email, however I will post them regardless.

Over the next serveral weeks you will be able to view slideshows of past reunions, find links to interesting Irish websites and find assorted family information.
Above is the family crest. Below I have written the meaning behind its design.

The Casey Coat of Arms is a SilverShield with a red Chevron representing two rafters of a house meeting at the top, between which there are three Eagles Heads .

The color Argent (Silver) in the coat of arms symbolizes Peace and Sincerity. It also reflects the hopes, ambitions and aspirations of its original bearer.

There is a Crest (not shown) of a hand holding a Garb (sheaf of wheat).

The Casey's were first found in the County of Cork. They were descended from the O'Carrolls, Princes of Ely, who in turn were descended from the Kings of Munster, who were descended from the Heber line of Irish Kings.
Above is a swatch of the Casey Family Tartan. It is important to have this swatch when purchasing a kilt.
